Layla's story
Once upon a time, in the war-torn region of North Syria, an 8-year-old girl named Leila lived with
her family in a small village. Her parents were loving and kind, and her siblings were her best
friends. They lived a simple life, but they were happy.
One day, disaster struck. A massive earthquake shook the region, destroying homes and
buildings and leaving countless people injured and homeless. Leila home collapsed, and she
lost her entire family in the chaos. She was pulled from the rubble by rescue workers, but her
left leg was severely injured and had to be amputated.
Leila was left alone, without any family or home. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she
was cared for by doctors and nurses who were also dealing with the aftermath of the
earthquake. She felt scared and alone, and the pain in her leg was unbearable.
Despite everything she had been through, Leila never lost hope. She dreamed of a better life,
one where she could run and play like other children her age.
Leila story is a tragic one, but it is also a story of hope and perseverance. She faced
unimaginable loss and hardship, but she refused to give up. Instead, she chose to fight and to
believe in a better future. Her spirit and strength remind us that even in the darkest of times,
there is always a glimmer of hope.
Seven sisters: Hope for hopeless we are traying to fit Leila with a prosthetic leg, and with time
